Makeup Revolution Mini Haul Review

I don't know what took me so long to try Makeup Revolution stuff, but I have to say that overall I really like their stuff!

Packaging wise, I love the black and chrome of the boxes. When you open it up, the stuff has a very nice feel. It doesn't feel like some of that bad quality stuff these days. I haven't had a chance to try everything but most of the stuff I've seen has been packaged very well and pleasing to the eye. Some of the stuff does look a little like the Too Faced stuff and some looks a little like the Kylie Lip Kits but overall I would say it's really well packaged!

So, I bought their contour stick which is a contour stick on one side and concealer/highlighter on the other side. It is a little small but very good for the price, in fact it's small enough to travel with. It goes on very smooth and blends very well. Overall, I give it a 9/10.

The other thing I bought was the blush palette in Hot Spice. It has 8 shades, all a mixture of matte, shimmer and then like strong shimmer. All of them go on very well, you don't even need to put on a lot as it is very pigmented so a little goes a long way. I needed some peach-ish shades and this does the job very well, another 9/10.

Another thing I tried was their matte lip kit set in Reign. This is actually the only thing I bought that I didn't really like. The color itself was nice enough but once I applied it, it did not give a nice look. It was very patchy and it instantly mattified so didn't have a lot of time to smooth it out. Their lipstick and glosses were literally the only things I saw that gave a slightly cheap look. They also have metallic lip kits which I didn't get a chance to check out yet, but honestly the matte lip kit wasn't for me I'd give it a 3/10.

Lastly, I tried the Strobe Highlighter in Flash. It is very pigmented and blends very well, the packaging is also pretty cute. I actually do not use too much highlighter so I think this should be good enough for me. They also have liquid highlighters which are even more pigmented, but for now this one works for me just fine! I'd rate this an 8/10,
