Apparently it was International Coffee day yesterday, so seems I missed it.....but it did prompt me to write a post about my 3 favorite coffee spots in Karachi! Please know, I mostly only drink cold coffee now because I can not bear to have a hot drink when Karachi itself is SO hot!
1. Cinnabon: You guys, I swear they have the best cold coffee! It's called Mocha Latta Chill, it is absolutely the perfect combination of coffee and mocha.
2. Second Cup: I actually went there because the place I originally wanted to go to shut down and Second Cup was the next closest thing. They have a pretty nice iced coffee, I always have to try Mocha everywhere I go but they had a lot of other flavors as well
3. Del Frio: Their iced coffee is also pretty good, they have a blended one. Usually I'm not big on blended drinks, I love iced drinks way more. In this case though, their blended drink is pretty good! Especially when you pair it up with their fresh cookie!
With a list of likes, I have to add two places which I really don't like. Number one on my list is Espresso. I can go on and on about all the things they do wrong, yet I don't get why everyone is obsessed with that place. Literally, anytime you order anything from their menu.....something different will come. I kid you not! I ordered an iced drink they brought me a blended drink and insisted it was iced. Their mousse cake, which I can't lie, is nice but it's NOT a mousse cake. It's a regular cake, and the list of these things goes on and on. I really wonder who made their menu, and did they even look at the items they had before listing them?!
My second place is Pane&Amore, they opened a new branch and so because my last experience there was really good, I was very excited to go! My iced coffee tasted so nasty, and the cupcake I ordered with it tasted so bad that even I couldn't manage to finish it.
