Dubai has My Heart

Nothing, and I mean nothing freshens me up like going to Dubai, I have some of the best memories there! Turns out my husband wasn't the biggest fan of Dubai (that changed after this trip thank God!) so it took me forever to convince him to go to Dubai. He normally says I can go alone to Dubai and we'll go for vacation together somewhere else, but this year we agreed on a three day stopover (too short, I know) and then heading on to Turkey.

So much of the fams was in Dubai that we were already booked for almost all our lunches and dinners, but thankfully I did get some time to go to some of my favorite places! Speaking of favorite places, having cake from Barrista is a ritual of me and my cousin and all the Barrista's have been shut down :(.....why?!?!? But anyways still had an absolutely amazing time, baby got to see Dubai for the first time and she loved it, I kid you not!

Day 1, we landed at like 8 am and since baby was wide awake I had to be too. Having not slept almost all night because the flight was at such a random time and then I ended up not sleeping when we reached and stayed awake until 2am that day. I was too happy to even be exhausted, but the lack of sleep did catch up to me as soon as we got to Turkey! We started out strong and hit Dubai Mall and Festival the first day.My husband is so against going to malls and wanted to do adventurous stuff but it was so hot that he couldn't do most of the stuff he had been wanting to do, I on the other hand was more than happy to go shopping! Once upon a time I would be able to speed walk and get a lot of stuff done and have lengthy conversations about God only knows what with my cousin, with baby though, we only got to a few shops and the whole time we had to listen to her cries for this or that instead of our usual gossip sessions! We went home, changed and then left for dinner to Festival. Omg Festival has changed, SO much! I used to live in Mirdiff before MCC was built so Festival was the closest mall and now I hardly recognized it although I didn't get a chance to shop there because everyone was so exhausted after dinner.

Day 2 we went for lunch with the fam and then headed to MOE where we literally just went to Cheesecake Factory and wandered around for like 15-20 minutes and then left for City Walk. I was driving and had been bragging about what a good driver I am and while doing so, when I got the parking ticket I had no idea where I put it so ofcourse when it was time to leave and we couldn't find it anywhere we all had to waste like a good 45 min searching for the parking ticket which we never even found! Anytime we'd go to any mall my husband would be like 'you have an hour to shop, I can't stay longer here' and if I just window shop he's always like 'you're not even buying anything, why are we wasting our time here!' lol. Anyways met up with a friend at City Walk and we got home and everyone was exhausted but after a few hours my cousin's decided that we should go to Salt so at 12 am we headed there. I'm not a fan of beef, or cheetos in my burger so I was not impressed by it. I know, I know the rest of the world is crazy about it.

Last day, my uncle took us for breakfast to Mezza House then we had another lunch and then we drove around on.......ok I forget the name everytime. I suck at directions but basically it was the road Kite Beach is on....Jumeira road? Wanted to have Burger Fuel but were so stuffed we couldn't manage it. We came home and hung out for a bit and then I met one of my best friend's after forever and then pretty much came home and just passed out!

Dubai will always be one of my most favorite places on Earth and going there was definitely a MUCH needed break from Pakistan! Anyways had an absolute blast on the fist half of my vacay, what about you guys?!?
