Life is too Short to Have Bad Hair

I originally had completely jet black hair, and for most of my life my mom would never let me touch it because I had very thick and silky hair so she wanted it to stay that way! Any time I would ask she would say "you can do whatever you want to your hair after you get married" so as you can guess, as soon as I got married I did almost anything and everything to my hair. What I conveniently forgot in all my excitement was the effect that it would have. Now, I can't complain too much because by some miracle of God, my hair is still pretty decent despite all the stuff I've had done in the short amount of time. When people say dyed hair will always always get dry and brittle, they're not joking!

I began dying my hair red, initially I started with a very subtle tone which just showed up in the sun. Soon after I decided I wasn't happy with such a deep shade and I wanted a slightly lighter shade of red. Because my hair is very dark, the color wouldn't go on without having to cut down my own hair color. When this happened I made sure that the hair stylist used Olaplex which I had researched about so much and apparently it was God sent and it really helped your hair maintain it's moisture and what not. For some reason, I feel Olaplex really didn't do much for hair when it came to protecting it. In between I tried many many shades of red until I found the perfect shade for me. Once I found that I was more or less really happy with the shade and left it that color and only got my roots done every 3 months. Everything was fine for around a year, and then I began to notice that my hair was always in knots no matter what conditioner, mask or detangler I used. It also looked so dry and anytime I would leave my hair open it didn't fall well. Initially, like every other bad thing that happens, I blamed it on Karachi water and the heat. I started using masks and oils and all sorts of different things to fix my hair, but nothing helped.
Pretty late in the game, I heard of Loreal Pro Fibre. When the hair stylist suggested it to me I was up for it but she told me it's an ongoing treatment and I'll have to take the products home and leave the mask on for 5 minutes everyday. Before baby, I would not have minded this at all but after her I couldn't even imagine having the time to do it. As anyone who has a baby knows, we only get 5 minutes to shower! So basically I put it off even longer until I got a haircut, praying that the haircut would take out the dead hair. Even that didn't help, so I finally went in and got the Pro Fibre Treatment. I am not kidding when I tell you that from the first wash, my hair had it's bounce back and thankfully not a single tangle! Loreal really came through with what they were claiming.
Not going to lie, the mask process is a little annoying but within 1 week I saw results and slowly saw my hair come back to it's former glory! Along with the benefit of how good the treatment was, the shampoo and mask smelled amazing! Currently I have gone back to my natural shade of black because in the Karachi heat I can't maintain red hair....at least until the weather gets a little better! Has anyone else used Loreal Pro Fibre treatment and how did it work out?!
